Definition

This indicator is only effective if you actually want to delete entries in the tables to be reorganized. You should set the indicator if line items only are to be deleted. The summary records will not be deleted. However, both summary records and line item records will be archived. You must always set the indicator if the period fields are filled and actual deletions are made because you cannot delete summary records (with 16 periods, for example), but then only delete periods 1 and 2 in the line items. This would mean that certain line item records would not have an assigned summary record.

If you are planning to reorganize data during the fiscal year, it is advisable to set this switch.

Beginning with 3.0D, you can also use this indicator to archive only plan line items separately. If you set this indicator, but do not enter any periods, actual line items will be archived with record type 0 and plan line items will be archived with record type 1.

You can reverse all of the above situations using the reload program.
