Definition
Unit of measure in which the service is managed.
The system converts all quantities that you enter in other units (alternative units of measure) into the base unit.
Dependencies
The system updates all data in the base unit. A precondition for all conversions is thus the prior maintenance of the base unit.
A quantity in an alternative unit can only be represented exactly if its value can be represented with the available places after the decimal point. To ensure this, you should note the following basic points:
- The base unit is the unit that satisfies the greatest necessary degree of accuracy.
- Conversions of alternative units into the base unit should lead to simple decimal fractions (i.e. not 1/3 = 0,333...).
Note:
There are separate units of measure for services, e.g.
LE service unit Unit at the superior level of the item. The
exact quantity data for the individual services
is located at the detailed level of the service
line in each case.
PS blanket Unit at the level of the service line for
services to be performed once only, for which
no precise quantities can or are to be
specified.
