Documentation
Definition
Path for accessing the vault.
Use
This path is only relevant to the data carrier that is defined as the vault.
A vault is a secure storage area. When you process the document info record, you do not see the path. You only see the data carrier type.
Dependencies
There are two ways of installing a vault:
- You can transport the original data directly from the vault to the frontend computer via Direct Vault Access (DVA).
- In this case, you also have to enter the DVA computer.
- You activate DVA in the Customizing activity Maintain global settings.
- If you do not want to use DVA for the transport, then you need a mount from the application server to the vault.
- This setting is done in work step Define data carrier -> Define mount points / logical drives
- Do not enter a DVA computer
Note for UNIX vault
You can enter an operating command for UNIX servers that can be used on the file. Use the special character % to separate the command from the path.
Example:
The entry chmod automatically assigns user authorizations for the stored file: /hs0013/a/ies/dvs/vault1 %chmod 644
This file can be:
- changed and read by the user who created the file
- read by the other users in the group.
- This file cannot be processed by the other users in the group.
