Procedure
Do not make an entry in the field if you want the selection to be based on the billing date of the document (field VBRK-FKDAT at header level).
Set the indicator 'A' if you want the selection to be based on the date of services rendered of the billing item (field VBRP-FBUDA at item level).
Use
The date is validated against your entries in the 'Reporting Month' and 'Reporting Year' fields to determine if a billing document should be included in the periodic declaration for the current month and current year.
Example
Reporting month: August
Reporting year: 2007
Scenario 1:
You want to select by billing date and therefore do not set an indicator (default value). When you run the report, the system checks the billing date in each billing document. If the billing date is in August 2007 and the billing document and billing items correspond to the other selection criteria, the system includes the items from this document in the declaration.
Scenario 2:
You want to select by the date of services rendered and therefore set the indicator 'A'. When you run the report, the system checks if the services rendered date of the billing item is in August 2007. If it is and the billing document and billing item correspond to the other selection criteria, the document item is included in the declaration. If the services rendered date of the item is in July 2007, for example, and the billing date of the document in August 2007, the billing item is not included in the declaration.
