Storage category

You can store documents on the following storage media:

  • HTTP Content Server

    As a content server, you can use either the SAP Content Server, shipped with your SAP system, or a third-party content server.

  • R/3 database

    If you want to store your documents in the R/3 database, you will need a table for the document content (see also content table).

  • RFC repository

    Choose this setting if you want to store documents in an SAP ArchiveLink or an Archive Development Kit (ADK) environment, or in an environment that uses either SAP ArchiveLink or the ADK.

  • Logical repository

    This storage category allows physical repositories to be accessed according to the client and the system ID.

  • Structure repository

    Usually, no settings are required here.

    The structure repository is only used in conjunction with SAP Knowledge Warehouse.
