Documentation
Definition
Indicates that this item is relevant to the area responsible for producing a functional design for production.
This item status indicator is used to control:
- Subsequent processing in related application areas
- Selection of items in the BOM explosion
Dependencies
Whether you can set and remove this indicator, or whether the system makes an unchangeable setting, depends on the BOM usage you selected on the initial screen. You can find further information in Customizing for bills of material under General Data -> BOM Usage -> Define BOM usages.
Supplementary Documentation - SANKO 0002
Dependencies
In the IMG (BOMs), you define for each BOM usage whether this indicator:
- must be entered
- can be entered
- cannot be entered
Supplementary Documentation - SANKO 0003
Procedure
Set this indicator if you want the system to select the items from the determined alternative, which are relevant to engineering.
Supplementary Documentation - SANKO 0010
Use
You use this indicator to specify that the system only displays BOM items that are defined in the BOM as engineering-relevant (on the Item Data: Status / Long Text screen.
Procedure
Examples
Dependencies
This indicator does not interrupt the complete explosion of the BOM to the lowest level. The BOM is exploded in 2 steps:
- First, the system explodes the entire BOM, regardless of the selection indicators you set. You do not see the result of this explosion on the screen.
- Second, the system reads your selection criteria, such as the Engineering-relevant items indicator.
This status indicator acts as a filter. The result of the explosion that you see on the screen only contains the items that match your selection criteria. For this indicator, only engineering-relevant items are shown.
