Definition

Here you can specify a season for an operand. In doing so, you establish that the operand values maintained for the operand are valid for the corresponding season period only. This enables you to restrict the values of an operand to the season period.

For each season period, you must create a corresponding season operand (from the SEASON category), for which you define the season periods as an operand value. The season periods of the individual seasons cannot overlap and must add up to exactly one year. You can choose the level at which you define the season periods for the season operand: rate facts, rate category facts, or installation facts.

Example

You wish to use different prices for summer and winter when valuating consumption.

To do so, create the price operand SWQPRICE (from QPRICE category). Create the operands SUMMER and WINTER (from SEASON category) for the seasons, and define the season periods as the operand values. For example, you can specify the period 04/01 to 09/30 as the operand value for the operand SUMMER and 10/01 to 03/31 for the operand WINTER. Now you are able to create a summer price for the price operand SWQPRICE by specifying WSQPRICE as the operand and SUMMER as the season. Specify a winter price for the price operand in the same way.
