Definition
Index that the system uses to calculate and update the seasonal part of the forecast value when the forecast is based on a seasonal or seasonal trend model.
In the seasonal model, the system multiplies the basic value by the seasonal index; in the seasonal trend model, the system multiplies the sum of the basic and trend values by the seasonal index.
