A flight is a scheduled airline service that carries passengers on a particular date from a departure city to a destination city.
This code specifies the departure city, destination, departure time, and other properties of the flight.
Use
This data element is used in the flight data model for demonstration and training purposes only. It is not intended for use in other applications.
Dependencies
Some flight connections consist of multiple individual flights.
Examples
Examples of flights are AA 0017 on February 20, 2001 and AA 0017 on May 30, 2001. AA is the code for the airline American Airlines, and 0017 is the code of the individual flight connections. Both flights connect New York (US) and San Francisco (US). The departure time for both flights is 13.30.
