Definition
Using the value Number of Processes you can determine the maximum number of processes the system should start in parallel. At the time of the program starting, the system checks whether there are enough free work processes available and, if necessary, resets the value 'Number of Processes' to the number of free work processes.
If the system cannot start the relevant number of parallel processes during the processing (because the system has an additional workload after starting the program, for example), then, from the point of view of the program, a resource failure has occurred.
Using the value 'Waiting Time After Resource Failure', you can determine how long (time in seconds) the system should wait after a resource failure has occurred until it tries to start a parallel process again.
