Definition
Indicates how the price calculated in Sales Price Calculation is to be rounded to the price points in a price point group.
Use
A price point interval is the gap between two neighboring price points. The rounding rule value is expressed as a percentage of this interval; it defines a portion of the interval that starts at the point from which prices start to be rounded up and ends with the upper limit of the price point interval.
Example
A price point group has the following price point range:
- First price in the price point range: 1.09.
- Last price in the price point range: 2.09.
- Price difference in the price point range: 0.20.
In this price point range you have the following price point interval:
- Lower limit of the price point interval: 1.49.
- Upper limit of the price point interval: 1.69.
The price point interval therefore spans 0.20.
If RUNRG = 25.00, the price will be rounded down if it lies between 1.49 and 1.64 and rounded up if it lies between 1.64 and 1.69 (25 percent of the interval). If RUNRG = 75.00, the turning point is at 1.54; if RUNRG = 50.00, it is at 1.59. In other words, the rule "RUNRG = 50.00" means that prices are always rounded to the nearest interval limit.
If RUNRG = 0, prices are rounded down to the nearest whole interval; if RUNRG = 100, they are rounded up to the nearest whole interval.
