Definition

If the characteristic is time-dependent, meaning the date is integrated in the key of the master data/text table, then you must switch this key figure off. A respective validity table is then assigned to the characteristic values and its assigned attributes.

Characteristics are not time-dependent as default.

When executing a query, the master data of time-dependent characteristic characteristics is always read with a key date.
