Documentation
Definition
This field controls whether or not the status of print requests (output requests) is to be queried using SNMP for this printer.
Use
The field is only offered if the device type assigned to the printer supports status reports. If status reports are activated, the status of every print request is queried at the printer. This query at the printer is executed until the printer sends a final (that is, ultimate) status for the print request.
The status of a print request (such as PENDING, PROCESSING, ABORTED, CANCELED, or COMPLETED) is technically transferred across the network using SNP requests. Therefore, the status report only works for network printers and only if the correct network address of the printer is maintained in the SAP system.
Dependencies
SAP Note 1134251 provides information about any changes to the configuration of the SPO processes (spool work processes) of the application server.
