Device Index for SNMP Queries
Use
A device index must also be passed for an SNMP query to a device. A device can be made up of multiple devices, which are differentiated using the device index. In the case of a printer, the device index is usually the value 1.
For multi-function devices (such as copiers with fax and printer), it can be the case, that the device index responsible for the printer is not 1.

Example
Only change the default value of 1 if you know the device index value required for the printer (for example, from vendor documentation).
