Definition
Name of format to be used when outputting a spool request.
The format determines which page format and which device format are to be used for the output.

Use
Procedure
Enter the name of the format type which fits this device-type format. The format type identifies the device-type format.
The printer configurations in the device-type format must match the page format which is entered in the format type.
Examples
You want to create a device-type format for the device type HPLJIIID. The printer should be set for the paper size DINA4. Enter the format type DINA4 so that the application of the device-type format is clear. Make sure that the printer configurations match the dimensions of the DINA4 paper size.
