Documentation
Definition
Total number of resources required of resource type
Supplementary Documentation - RNEED 2000
Use
The number of required resources is read from the additional data of the relationship "required" between the business event type and resource type. If the relevant flag is set in this additional data, then the number in infotype 1023 (availability features) is passed on to the resource type.
If the requirement is defined in the additional data of the relationship or in the 'availablity features' using the unit 'attendee' (for example 1 PC per 2 attendees), then the maximum capacity of the business event type is taken as the number of attendees for a business event (from infotype 1024).
In our example (1 PC per 2 attendees), if the maximum capacity is 30, the default value for resources of type PC would be 15.
If you transfer the set time interval and want to continue with resource selection, you can overwrite the proposed value for the required number of each individual resource type.

Use
The number of required resources is read from the additional data of the relationship ("required") between business event type and resource type. If the relevant flag is set in this additional data, the number specified in infotype 1023 (Availability Indicators) is passed on to the resource type. The user may overwrite this value. The user must then choose exactly this number from the displayed list of resources.
Note on calculating the default value during attendee-dependent scheduling:
If, in the additional data on the relationship or in the availability features, the requirement is defined using the unit "attendee" (for example 1 PC per 2 attendees), the maximum capacity of the business event type (from infotype 1024) is taken as the number of the attendees for a business event. So, a demand of 15 resources of the PC type would result as a default value for a maximum capacity of 30.
