Definition

Identifies the subobject type.

Use

The subobject type is a subdivision of the object type and is assigned below it in the hierarchy. At subobject type level in Customizing for Recipe Management in the IMG activity Versioning Settings, you define the appearance of the technical key, in other words, its length and thenumber ranges from which the keys are assigned. You also define whether versions and drafts can be created for objects of a subobject type.
