Use
When entering documents to special purpose ledgers, a ledger can be entered as additional information for the master data validation. The following action is carried out using this ledger:
The chart of accounts to be used for the master data validation is determined (especially for the account).
The chart of accounts to be used each time is stored at ledger/company code level or ledger/global company level, respectively. This is of particular significance when you are not working with the operative chart of accounts for the company code and for example, if ALTKT (consolidated chart of accounts) is adopted to the chart of accounts for the FI-SL database.
If you do not specify a ledger, the chart of accounts for the company code or for the global company assigned to the company code will be used.

The rollup ledger contains the records that are posted to a rollup sequence number.
