If you click on the selection field, the entries for processing are flagged. Entries that are not flagged will not be processed.
If you have components that are handled in batches and a batch split has been executed, the individual batch records are displayed differently in the WM material staging list. Read the following explanation carefully:
If you have components that are handled in batches, the batch is either defined in the order or determined later on in WM and confirmed back to the order or determined only when the consumption has been posted - depending on the definition for batch entry in the material master. If several batches are required per component in the order, a batch split is executed for these components. Here, a batch totals record and one or several batch single records are created.
- The batch totals record is marked in the order with batch key 1 and contains the total requirement quantity for the component (if the batch split has not yet been executed) or the quantity yet to be assigned.
- The batch single record is marked in the order with batch key 2 and contains the share of the requirement quantity that has been assigned to a particular batch.
If the batch split is executed in the order, material staging in WM is batch-related; these batch single records are ready for input in the WM material staging list. The batch totals record, on the other hand, is not relevant for material staging from the WM viewpoint. It is displayed for information purposes only.
If material staging is not batch-specific, that is, the batch is not pre-defined in the order, you must first request the component without a batch for WM staging. If the batch found in WM is confirmed back to the order, a batch split takes place in the order. In this case, the batch totals record remains ready for input in the WM material staging list since the material staging (in particular for partial staging) is still requested without a batch specification. The batch single records, on the other hand, are not ready for input since these have already been staged from the WM point of view. They are listed only as additional information.
