Documentation
Definition
The quantity of the material to be staged, which is entered in this field, is derived from:
- The quantity of the material concerned, which is still available in the storage bin or storage type
- The total quantity from open putaway transfer orders (TOs) for the material to be staged
- The total quantity from open putaway transfer requirements (TRs) for the material to be staged.
Use
The system adds together all of the available material stocks or quantities of the material concerned, which have already been requested.
You receive an overview of how much of the material is already available in the storage bin or storage type and the quantity of the material triggered for putaway on the basis of a TR or TO.
Dependencies
Based on this entry, the system automatically calculates the replenishment quantity that still has to be staged if you trigger automatic replenishment.
Example
- The stock of material MAT in storage bin 01-05-03 is 5 pieces.
- There is an open putaway TO for material MAT for storage bin 01-05-03 for a quantity of 10 pieces.
- There is an open putaway TR for material MAT for storage bin 01-05-03 for a quantity of 15 pieces.
- You have defined a minimum stock level of material MAT in the storage bin of 35 pieces.
- You have defined a maximum stock level of material MAT in the storage bin of 100 pieces.
The system adds together the available stock and the quantity of the material planned for putaway. The result is a value of 30 in the field Bin/TR qty. This quantity is less than the minimum stock level of the material in the storage bin.
If you request replenishment for this material, the system calculates a requested quantity of 70 pieces, in doing so subtracting the available stock and the stock planned for putaway from the permitted maximum stock level of the material in the storage bin.
100 pieces - (5 pieces + 10 pieces + 15 pieces) = 70 pieces
