Definition
The system uses this storage location both to select stock and to create transfer requirements.
Use
If you have assigned only one storage location for each warehouse number and plant, you do not need to enter a storage location in this field. If you manage stock belonging to several storage locations under one warehouse number, see the following:
If you do not enter a storage location in this field
The storage location is not considered. If you have stock and transfer requirements belonging to several storage locations, these are calculated as a total for each plant. The system does not include a storage location in the transfer requirement that is created. The system automatically assigns a storage location when it creates the transfer order.
If you enter a storage location in this field
Only the stock and transfer requirements for this storage location are taken into consideration when calculating the replenishment quantity. The storage location in the transfer requirement is copied into the transfer order.
