Definition

Organizational unit responsible for the sales and distribution of specific products or services. The area of responsibility of a sales organization can include legal responsibility for products and customer rights to compensation.

Dependencies

You can only enter the sales organization if one of the main relationship partners has partner type "Customer". You must also make sure that this sales organization is assigned to your returnable packaging.

You must have maintained the Sales and Distribution: Sales Org. Data 1 view in the material master.

Use

Along with the distribution channel, the sales organization is used in account determination, to assign a returnable packaging account to each account statement.
