Use

When you create a new cost center the R/3 System transfers all the attributes that make sense for the new cost center in its organizational unit. If the reference cost center exists in a different controlling area from the new one, the transfer is not advisable, especially for the hierarchy area. At this time you can only transfer the company code if:

• the new cost center exists in the same controlling area as the reference cost center and
• You have made a unique assignment of the company code to the controlling area during Customizing.
• If this is not the case you must also fill this field manually.
