Definition
The status indicates whether the data structure for the operating concern (that is, the tables and structures generated for the operating concern) can be used.
"Green light": The data structure is active. No action is required for the data structure.
"Amber lightl": Either a system upgrade has taken place or corrections (support packages) have been imported into the system. Before you can work with the operating concern, the changes need to be copied to the data structure of the operating concern. No action is required to transfer the changes because the system does this automatically when the first transaction to access the operating concern is executed. The automatic transfer takes a few minutes. To avoid delays in a productive system, SAP recommends using the Customizing activity Maintain Operating Concern to activate the data structure.
"Red light": The data structure is not active. No data can be posted and no reports can be run for the operating concern. You need to activate the data structure using the Customizing activity Maintain Operating Concern.
"Extinguished lights": No data structure has been created for the operating concern. You need to create the data structure using the Customizing activity Maintain Operating Concern.
