Definition

By maintaining this table, you determine in Customizing which characteristics are taken account of when profitability segments are formed.

You can choose between the following settings for a characteristics:

• Not used - the characteristic is not taken account of when profitability segments are created.
• costing-based - the characteristic is only taken account of in costing-based Profitability Analysis
• account-based + costing-based - the characteristic is taken account of in both account-based Profitability Analysis and costing-based Profitability Analysis

Note

It is not possible to activate use of a characteristic for account-based Profitability Analysis only, as this this should only be used for reconciliation to a highly aggregated level. Account-based Profitability Analysis should not be more detailed than costing-based Profitability Analysis.
