When the indicator is set, the system first determines the operating concern for each data record of the application tables to be checked. For this, the system applies organizational units (such as controlling area, company code, and plant) taken from the data record. If the operating concern determined by the system does not match the operating concern entered manually (and for which the check is taking place), the data record is not considered. This ensures that all unused profitability segments and account assignment numbers can be found for the operating concern. If the operating concern could not be determined for the data records to be checked, a corresponding entry is made in the log. In such cases, a defensive deactivation logic is favored and it is assumed that the data record could be relevant for the operating concern to be checked (for it is preferable to leave an unused profitability segment activated as opposed to deactivated one that is used). Note that, when the indicator is set, runtime is longer.
