Definition
The reference value field determines which value field from the reference data is to be used as the basis of the distribution.
The following options are available:
- If you select the By value fields option, distribution occurs on the basis of each respective value field. For example, revenue is distributed in proportion to revenue in the reference data, and the discount is distributed in proportion to the discount in the reference data.
- Alternatively, you can select a fixed value field, such as Revenue. By doing so, all value fields selected in the Value fields tab page are distributed in proportion to revenue in the reference data.
- Moreover, you can also define a formula with the value fields and then select this formula as the reference. You do this in CO-PA Customizing by choosing Planning -> Planning Aids -> Calculated Values as Reference for Top-Down Distribution.
- By selecting the Complex assignment pushbutton, you can assign any particular reference value fields to the value fields selected in the Value fields tab page.
