Definition
The status indicates whether you can work with the operating concern.
"Green light": The operating concern is active. Data can be posted to the operating concern or reports can be executed.
"Amber light": Either a system upgrade has occurred or corrections (support packages) have been imported into the system. Before you can work with the operating concern, the changes need to be copied over. No further actions are required for the changes to be transferred because the system does this automatically.
"Red light": The operating concern is not active. No postings or reports can be performed. You need to use the Customizing activity Maintain Operating Concern to activate the operating concern.
"Extinguished light": Either the operating concern does not exist or no operating concern has been entered.
