Definition
The status indicates whether the operating concern attributes have been defined in the current client and - at the same time - whether the client-specific part of the operating concern environment (such as number range objects or control table entries) can be used.
"Green light": Attributes exist and the environment is active. No further action is required.
"Amber light": Attributes exist. However, the client-specific part of the environment is not active. No actions are required for the environment to be activated. The system activates it automatically during the first transaction that accesses the operating concern. Activation takes a few minutes. To avoid delays in a productive system, SAP recommends that you activate the environment manually with the Customizing activity Maintain Operating Concern.
"Red light": Attributes exist. However, either the data structure or the cross-client part of the environment is not active. Before proceeding, you need to activate these objects.
This situation can also be due to errors having occurred during activation. Analyze the action log and try to remove the cause of any errors. Then use the Customizing activity Maintain Operating Concern to activate the environment.
"Extinguished lights": No attributes have been created for the operating concern in the current client. Consequently, the operating concern cannot be used in this client.
