Documentation
Definition
There are two methods of distribution possible in costing-based Profitability Analysis:
- Distribution by transaction means that an IDOC is sent with the line item to the receiver system for each CO-PA posting. This method has the advantage that up-to-date detailed information is always available in the receiver system.
- Periodic roll-up means that the line items are selected in the sender system periodically. The system summarizes over certain selected characteristics, and then sends these "summarized" line items to the receiver system. You should use this method if you do not need to have complete detailed information in the receiver system.
Caution:
- Inconsistencies between the sender and receiver systems may occur if you switch between these two methods while it is operating.
- This flag only applies for distributed costing-based Profitability Analysis. For account-based Profitability Analysis, only distribution by transaction is possible.
