Use
New characteristic value
Under "New char. value" you specify how the profitability segments you selected are to be changed by the realignments.
In each field you can enter one of the following:
- Asterisk ("*")
This is the default value. The characteristic is derived again and, if necessary, changed accordingly (for example, if the derivation rule changed.
- Fixed characteristic value
The system replaces the specified old characteristic value with this value.
Note that by doing this you may change profitability segments so that they no longer adhere to the currently valid derivation rules.
- SPACE (leave the field blank):
The old characteristic value remains unchanged and is not affected by derivation.
- "#"
If you entered a "#" under "Old char. value", this characteristic is set to initial (blank or "0").
Note
It is not possible to change organizational units and a few other characteristics using realignments. For these characteristics, the field "New char. value" is automatically set to blank, and the characteristic does not even appear in the list. This affects the following:
- company code
- controlling area
- business area
- sales order
- sales order item
- quantity units
Examples
- Rekey a characteristic
Customer group / 01 / 02
All characteristics that are derived from the customer group / SPACE / *
All other characteristics / SPACE / SPACE
The system reassigns all the profitability segments belonging to customer group 01 to customer group 02.
- Derive all characteristics
All characteristics / SPACE / *
The system rederives values for all the characteristics according to the currently valid derivation rules.
This is the default setting.
- Delete a characteristic that is no longer needed.
Characteristic / SPACE / #
All other characteristics / SPACE / SPACE
