Definition

Indicates whether the system automatically determines a time estimate for picking and packing when you process deliveries through this shipping point.

You have the following options:

  • no pick/pack time determination

No pick/pack time is determined.

  • A Route-dependent
    • A route-dependent pick/pack time is determined.

The influencing factors are:
in the order the shipping point, the route and the weight group

in the delivery the shipping point, the route and the weight group for the delivery.

  • B Route-independent
    • A route-independent pick/pack time is determined.

Influencing factors are:
in the order the shipping point, the route

  • C Default from shipping point
    • Only the pick/pack time defined in the shipping point is used.

Remember that incomplete Customizing can lead to incorrect scheduling especially for route dependent / route-independent pick/pack times. Make sure that all combinations of shipping point, route and weight group are considered in Customizing.

Use

The pick/pack time is the time difference between the material availability date / time and loaing date / time. It is used in transportation scheduling and deliver scheduling.

Dependencies

The system only determines the pick/pack time if you have marked the Delivery scheduling field where you define sales document types in SD Customizing.
