Definition

Specifies the vacancy rate that the system uses for the property tax calculation for a rental object if both of the following conditions are met:

• There is no valid rental contract for the rental object
• The rental object is vacant for less than a specified number of months (for example, less than 24 months)

Both the vacancy rate and the long vacancy rate that must be applied for the property tax amount calculation are defined by law.

Property tax amount calculation for a rental object:

• Vacancy rate: 8 % - until the 24th month of vacancy
• Long vacancy rate: 10% - as of the 24th month of vacancy

If your rental object is not leased out, the system uses the vacancy rate (8%) for the property tax calculation as of the send date of the rental contract until the 24th month of vacancy. As of 24th month of vacancy, the system uses the long vacancy rate (10%) for the property tax calculation. Both the vacancy rate and long vacancy rate are defined by law.
