Definition
Determines whether the billing document of a secondary installation can be reversed if the corresponding primary installation has not been reversed.
Use
When installation groups are billed, billing data can be exchanged between installations. Data from the billing documents of secondary installations, for example, can be used to bill a primary installation. When this happens, the document number from the primary installation is entered in the Document Number of Primary Installation field in the secondary installation documents.
If the document number of a primary installation has been entered in a billing document, this document can always be reversed when primary installation billing is reversed. However, if you do not reverse primary installation billing, you can only reverse the secondary installation when the Individual Reversal indicator is set.
If you set Individual Reversal indicator, you have more flexibility but also an increased risk. If the primary installation is not reversed, data is no longer exchanged. Changes to the secondary installation are not transferred to primary installation billing.
Only set the Individual Reversal indicator in a test system, or if you check carefully, for each individual reversal, that the changes to do not effect primary installation billing.
Dependencies
- Data exchange only takes place for installation roles that are either consumption-relevant or distribution-relevant. The billing documents of secondary installations that have other roles can always be individually reversed. The Individual Reversal indicator does not have any effect on these secondary installations.
- Individual reversal is always possible for a billing document of a secondary installation if it has not yet been used by the primary installation during billing.
Example
You select the Individual Reversal indicator.
You then bill the secondary installations and the primary installation. The primary installation uses consumption values from the secondary installations.
- You reverse a document from a secondary installation, without reversing the primary installation. You correct a price and bill the secondary installation again. This is permitted because primary installation billing is not affected by the price change in the secondary installation.
- You reverse a document from a secondary installation, without reversing the primary installation. You correct a meter reading result in the secondary installation and bill the secondary installation again. The primary installation billing data is now inconsistent because the corrected meter reading result is not transferred to the primary installation billing document.
