Definition
Reorganizing an object (e.g. order, project) normally requires three steps:
- Setting the delete flag (can be reset)
- Setting the final deletion indicator (cannot be reset)
- Reorganizing (writing the object to a sequential dataset and physically deleting it from the system)
Residence time 1 determines the time interval (in calendar months) that must elapse between setting the delete flag (step 1) and setting the deletion indicator (step 2).

Definition
Residence time 1 is the time between activation of the deletion flag and the activation of the internal deletion indicator. The deletion indicator must be active before you can delete project structures.
Procedure
Enter the time (in calendar months) which is to elapse until the system automatically sets the internal deletion indicator.
Dependencies
If you enter zero for residence time 1, the system sets in the internal deletion indicator immediately. Note the internal deletion indicator cannot be removed.
