Definition
This field contains the residence time for the settlement documents, expressed in calendar months.
Use
When defining the residence time, bear the following in mind:
Settlement documents occupy additional storage space. After an accounting period in CO and FI is finally blocked against postings, you can clear the settlement documents. However, you should have a safety margin, as the settlement documents may be needed to cancel some settlements or repeat the period close.
