Definition
Date document is posted in financial accounting or in cost accounting.
Use
From the posting date, the system derives the fiscal year and period for which the accounts or cost elements referenced in the document are updated.
At the time of document entry, the system checks if the posting date entered is allowed, based on the posting period.
Note
The posting date can differ from both the entry date (date actually entered in the system) and the document date (date the original document is created).
