Use
You can use the External Reference 1, 2 and 3 fields for your own purposes, for instance, for entering an invoice number.
Dependencies
If you activated document summarization, then the system checks during summarization if the contents contents of these fields are the same. The system thereby prevents line items that have different references (such as, different invoice numbers) from being summarized.
