Definition

The indicator controls how rounding differences are handled for periodic postings in 'Integrated Posting' mode.

Use

In 'Integrated Posting' mode, items for partner-related cash flow and for object cash flow for a contract are consolidated into a document. The line items with contract account assignment can usually be suppressed here if they balance to zero. However, in some cases (particularly for gross conditions), there are minor rounding differences that would lead to a document balance.

  • Indicator is set ('X')

The line items with contract account assignment are eliminated if possible, even if they do not balance to zero. The document balance is posted to the selected object. For this purpose, the objects (buildings, rental objects, and so on) in the document are sorted by type and object number.

The following options are available:

  • First Object Receives Difference
  • Last Object Receives Difference
  • Random Distribution

  • Indicator is not set (' ')

If you have selected 'No Distribution of Rounding Differences', the line items with contract account assignment are only eliminated if they balance to zero.

Dependencies

The indicator is only relevant if the periodic posting is started in 'Integrated Posting' mode.

When 'Random Distribution' is selected, note that the document created in the simulation run can differ from the document created in the update run.

To suppress the line items with contract account assignment, data such as the account, 'Calculation From' date, and 'Calculation To' date must also match.
