Definition

Option rates are determined by a calculation method.

Customary methods are:

• Calculation based on the square meter ratio of the subordinate objects
• Calculation based on the cubic volume ratio of the subordinate objects

Automatic procedures are predefined by the system that are based on a calculation of the subordinate objects. Other automatic procedures can be individually defined.

Both the procedures predefined in the system that are based on a calculation as well as those defined by the customer have the "Automatic" indicator in Customizing. This means that the option rate is determined by the system automatically in monthly runs.

If the system cannot automatically determine an option rate or you do not want it to, you have to choose a calculation method that either lets you enter an option rate in the object or where the option rate is determined immediately by the method.
