Documentation
Definition
You use the exercise type and the reference unit to control whether a corporate action refers to all your positions or only to a multiple of the reference unit.
Example
If a securities account contains 10.5 units of security A, the following instruction:
Ref.sec.ID Trans.sec.ID +-sign Position change Value change ET Ref.unit
A B + 2 0 1
has the effect of posting (2 * 10.5 = ) 21.0 units of security B to the securities account.
If the instruction only applies to an integer multiple of 3, in other words:
Ref.sec.ID Trans.sec.ID +-sign Position change Value change ET Ref.unit
A B + 2 0 1 3
then (2 * 9 = ) 18 units of security B will be posted.
