Use

When you specify a reference exception you can limit the selection list of the exceptions, which can be allocated.
Determine the information structure and the characteristic reference, that is, only those exceptions are shown in the selection list that apply to the same information structure and to the same characteristic reference. Only these exceptions appear in the selection list.

If an exception was already shown on the allocations maintenance screen, then it serves as reference exception.
