Use

Determines to what extent contracts in the approval process are locked to changes in master data processing for contracts.

• Never lock contracts
  You can modify contracts at any time. The approval workflow is triggered again each time a change is made.
• Lock inactive contracts only
  Inactive contracts are locked when they are currently waiting for approval.
  Active contracts can be modified even if they are currently waiting for approval. The approval workflow is triggered again each time a change is made.
• Lock active contracts only
  Active contracts are locked when they are currently waiting for approval.
  Inactive contracts can be modified even if they are currently waiting for approval. The approval workflow is triggered again each time a change is made.
• Lock inactive and active contracts
  Both inactive and active contracts are locked.
