Options for controlling recipient selection
Use
You can group several entries of a correspondence activity and output just one document of this group. The first entry is used for which a partner is found, according to the sequence number.
No input help (F4) is available for the group key. The system groups the entries that contain the same key (empty keys are not grouped).
Dependencies
Example
In the area of residential rental, the correspondence is to be forwarded to the executors of the estate or to the inheritors if the tenant deceases.
The executor or an inheritor has been assigned to the contract with the corresponding role. The correspondence activity resulting from this would necessitate the creation of a document for the deceased main contractual partner.
Seq.No. Group Recip.Selection Role Cat. Hier.Search Form
10 Main Contractual Partner 1 SCS
20 Partner with Role Executor SCS
30 Partner with Role Inheritor SCS
If you use a group key, only one document is created. Adjust the order accordingly:
Seq.No. Group Recip.Selection Role Cat Hier.Search Form
10 A Partner with Role Executor SCS
20 A Partner with Role Inheritor SCS
30 A Main Contractual Partner 1 SCS
In this case, the system searches in the following order: Executor/inheritor/main contractual partner. If neither the executor nor the inheritor is assigned, the main contractual partner receives the document. The recipient selection in the correspondence activity is determined by the assigned business partner with this role, and not by an attribute in the master data of the business partner.
The output of this document is stopped if the date of death is entered in the business partner master data. This happens regardless of how the correspondence activity was defined. An error message is logged.
