Definition

The document language determines:

• Which language version of the Smart Form is used
• Which language version is used for inserted text modules (such as company code-dependent text modules or the text module for the notice procedure)
• Which text is retrieved for language-dependent texts

Use

The following options are available for automatically determining the document language:

• Defined language
• Log-on language
• Language assigned to the company code
• Language assigned to the recipient

You can define up to three options for determining the document language (step 1, 2 and 3). A subsequent step is only taken into account when the system can determine a language that does not belong to the supported languages. If the system does not find a supported language during the output activity, the document is not output, and a message to this effect is logged.

If you wish to use another method to determine the document language, you can implement the Business Add-In RECP_SF .
