The Group indicator has an effect only if the Display indicator is set.

'X')In the display of the worklist, multiple registration entries for this object status are summarized per business object.
This setting makes sense if the triggering event can occur more than once, but this is not relevant for the follow-on activity, that is, when one execution of the follow-on activity processes all registration entries.For example, the object status Contract conditions not up-to-date can be registered more than once before the Update conditions activity is performed. However, since executing the activity always updates all conditions, the number of registrations is not significant and should not appear in the display.
