Documentation
Definition
The differentiation criterion is used in certain Customizing tables that allow settings by object type. It is used to allow different settings for a different characteristic of the object.
The characteristic that can be used for this differentiation depends on the object type and the context in which the differentiation criterion appears. Some object types do not allow any differentiation at all.
Possible differentiation criteria are:
- Real estate contract: contract type
- Rental object: usage type
- Architectural object: architectural object type
Use
Use the input help to see if differentiation criteria are possible in the current context, and which differentiation criteria these are. If you want a setting to apply for all objects of an object type, regardless of the differentiation criterion, then leave this differentiation criterion blank.
Dependencies
Example
In Customizing, you can set up the possible partner roles for all object types for which a partner assignment is possible. For real estate contracts, rental objects and architectural objects, you can also differentiate these settings on the bases of the differentiation criteria listed above. For example, this means you can allow different partner roles for the Lease-out contract type than for the Lease-in contract type.
