'X')The value that you set this indicator for is proposed as a default. If you set this indicator for more than one value, then the system proposes one of those values at random.

' ')The system does not propose the value. If you do not set the indicator for any value, then the value remains empty. If the field is a required entry field, then you have to explicitly choose one of the displayed values.
