Definition
Residence time in days between the last change to the object being archived and when the deletion indicator (DLT) was set.
Use
For real estate master data and contracts, the deletion flag (DLFL) has to be set before you can set the deletion indicator. Since this is also a change of the data object, then residence time is effectively the number of days required between setting the deletion flag and setting the deletion indicator.
Normally you set the deletion flag manually within the RE Navigator. Setting the deletion indicator, on the other hand, is done using the preprocessing program in the central transaction for data archiving.
If the residence time has not yet elapsed, the data object is ignored by the preprocessing program.
If you do not want to place any time restrictions, enter 0 days. This means that it is possible for the deletion indicator to be set on the same day that the last change was made (setting of the deletion flag). Entering 1 day means that the deletion indicator can be set on the day after the last change was made.
