Use
The indicator controls access to the archive from application programs such as the RE Navigator if the user requests archived data.

)
Access to the archive is allowed. The storage system could be accessed frequently, depending on how frequently users make requests. Depending on the storage system, this could have a negative influence onarchiving sessions.
Access to the archive is not allowed. If the user requests archived data, the system issues an error message.
Dependencies
The deactivation of access to archived data relates solely to application programs. Regardless of the how this indicator is set, it is always possible to display the technical view of archived data using the Archive Explorer or other tools of archiving administration.
